Denzel and Dougal are miniature dachshunds who came to our branch on the 19th March 2025.
They are available for adoption either as a pair or on their own. Dougal is thought to be Denzel’s father though we cannot confirm this – Dougal is roughly 6 and Denzel is around 2 years old.
Both boys have yet to learn their manners and are not yet housetrained, they have been through some stress in their life so are looking for company and care in their new homes.
Denzel is extremely playful and they both love to have a romp around the fields, they will need to get to know you but are lovely boys once they feel safe!

Denzel and Dougal are miniature dachshunds, meaning that you may spot these behaviour patterns:
- Denzel and Dougal are keen to play, and dachshunds as a breed are known to chase after mops or chase after dropped items, so ensure you’re able to provide them with plenty of games!
- Dachshunds are typically strong-willed, meaning that obedience training is a must – especially so with these boys who are still in need of house training!
- You’ll need to keep these boys busy with plenty of mental stimulation and exercise, around 2 walks a day is best or plenty of garden playtime as they only have little legs!
